Using KAHOOT! (Multi-modal Tutorial)

Purpose:

The purpose for this multi-modal tutorial is to walk you through creating a Kahoot. Kahoot is an interactive tool that can be used in the class room by seeing where the students are with their learning. This is especially useful for when the class has Ipads to use or even their own phones. It is a fun experience for the students as well as administering the quiz.

Getting Started:

-Make sure that you go to the website above to start your creation of a Kahoot quiz or activity

The Set Up:

-Starting off, make sure to sign up for a FREE account in order to get started

-Once you set up your free account you can select what you will be using the account primarily for.

 

Time to get Started:

-In order to create a new Kahoot, be sure to press the purple button in order to get started creating.

-Select what type of activity you want to use, be it a survey, quiz, or even a discusison

Creating a Quiz:

-You will be prompted to create a unique quiz name that sounds interesting

-Next Type in the question that you would like asked, to make the question more interesting or even give a hint to quiz takers, you can add pictures or even videos .

-Be sure to give the question a point total as well as a time limit for the question to be answered in.

– Fill in the multiple answers and mark the correct answer

-Click duplicate or Add question to add more questions to the quiz

-Hit save & continue in order for you to move on

-Once you have the questions set up you can then reorder the questions as you please.

-Once you have the quiz set to your standards you may then set up the details about your quiz

-You can make the quiz private or public and detail what type of audience that you’re directing it to

-Now you’re able to launch your quiz

-Once you launch the quiz you will be able to text in a Game pin to allow access to your newly built quiz

-Results will be shown as soon as the question is answered by all and will display the username of who received what score
